Horse Tier List

This ranking is for Dangerous Horse Riding as a finish game, not a fashion show. You ride first-person on a canyon trail of giant keyboard keys, other people shoot the horse rather than your avatar, and a high-speed mount you cannot stop before a hole will farm deaths instead of coins. Tiers below follow that order of operations. Pair this page with the weapon tier list when you have coins for a gun, and with the horse catalog when you need the named roster without letter grades.

Criteria, in order:

  1. Finish rate on the letter-key trail.
  2. HP, because the starter crossbow deals 20 damage per bolt and herds add more.
  3. Combat only after you can reach the flag.
  4. Access. Secrets that no longer spawn get a collector tag, not a grind tag.

We do not invent per-horse speed numbers except the Ice Horse report (speed 20, HP 200). Shop color variants differ, but Ikinamada Studio does not publish a public stat sheet. Community riders count around 17 mounts including secrets. This list names only what we can confirm: starter, shop color variants as a class, Ice Horse, Gray Stud, Flipped Horse, and the launch white horse.

S — finish tools you actually ride

Shop color variants with controllable speed and above-starter HP sit in S once you can steer. The shop is the real progression. After a few flag finishes you buy a mount that does not throw you off “F” and does not fold to two crossbow bolts. Exact row names change after events such as the lobby revamp, which added new horses. Trust the live store. Spend with the shop planner so you do not buy the loudest looking coat first.

S-tier here means: you still make the corner after a bump, you survive a poke, and you reach the flag often enough to buy the next thing. It does not mean the rarest badge horse.

If two shop rows feel similar, pick the one you can slow down. Dangerous Horse Riding is not a straight desert sprint. The keyboard path has letter gaps, thin connectors, and other riders. Speed you cannot brake is a trap dressed as S.

A — strong when you already finish

Ice Horse is A as a collector and A-minus as a racer if the spawn still exists. Player reports list maximum speed 20 and HP 200 — about ten clean starter bolts if nobody else is shooting. That HP is real. The speed is not an automatic S on thin keys. Treat Ice Horse as a badge trophy first. Read the Ice Horse walkthrough, then check badges: Secret Horse! sits near 33,033 awards all-time and 0 yesterday at research time. A mount that no longer spawns is not a grind target.

Gray Stud (Secret Horse 2, about 28,234 awards) is A as a hunt and mid as a racer until you personally feel the handling. It is a dark gray stud horse, not a shop recolor. Walkthrough: Gray Stud. Do not buy a shop horse assuming it is the same animal.

A-tier shop variants are the ones with either extra HP or extra speed but a handling quirk you have not learned. They belong here until your finish rate proves otherwise. Promote them to S on your own account when you stop falling.

B — usable, not a plan

Starter horse is B for learning and C the moment SMGs appear on the same straight. You spawn on it. It is free. It is how you learn rope reins, jump timing, and the shift-lock bug (do not draw a weapon before you enable shift lock — see controls). It is not how you should enter a 25-player server after you have coins. Move off it using how to win as the skill check: if you can finish on the starter, you can afford to spend; if you cannot, a shop horse will not save a panic steer.

Flipped Horse is B for racing and S for the screenshot. The upside-down mount arrived with a November 2025 badge (about 17,006 awards). Handling clips look like a joke horse because they are. Ride it for the badge, then swap back to a shop variant for coin runs. Guide: Flipped Horse.

B also covers shop color variants that dump HP for speed. They look like upgrades in the lobby and then die to the starter crossbow on the second range. If a row is cheaper than the rest, ask why.

C — collectors, jokes, and traps

Launch white horse is C for current play and S for inventory flex. It was a timed gift for people who played about 15 minutes at release in April 2025. It is not in the shop. Do not wait in a 2026 lobby hoping the timer returns. Log it on the catalog and move on.

C also covers any secret you cannot spawn. Ice Horse comments already say the ice-mountain route vanished. Ranking a vaulted mount as S-racer would lie to new accounts. Collector S, racer C, until the mountains return — which we will not promise. The place still says beta and the universe title now includes [DEAD]; read beta status before a three-hour hunt.

What not to rank

  • We do not name shop coats we cannot verify. “Shop color variants” is the class. If your lobby shows a new row after a revamp, rank it by finish rate, not by coat lore.
  • We do not put weapons on this page. Guns are the weapon tier list. The Rope Tool is utility, not a horse.
  • We do not move a secret into S-racer because the badge is rare. Rarity is a badges fact. Finish rate is a trail fact.
  • We do not assume 17 named horses. Seventeen is a community count. Named entries stay on the catalog.

How to use the list on a new account

Do not open secret guides on day one. Join a server, take the Welcome badge, ride the starter through the first keyboard straight without shooting, and finish or fail honestly. Then:

  1. Collect daily rewards.
  2. Ignore the empty codes table.
  3. Buy a shop horse with HP or controllable speed.
  4. Only then hunt Ice, Gray Stud, or Flipped.
  5. Recheck this list after a lobby change. The January revamp added horses; a later patch can retune them.

A community rider reported that Checkpoint 1 may cost 1000 coins. If that fee is live on your server, it changes the shop order: a horse that finishes without paying the checkpoint can outrank a glass cannon that dies before the booth. Label the price as a report until the studio writes it down.

For the rest of the spend, keep the Tier List Hub open beside the catalog. Letter grades here will move if ice mountains restock or if a shop row becomes the default finish mount. Until then, S is whatever gets you to the flag with HP left, not whatever looks rare in the badge list.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is Ice Horse S-tier?

Collector yes, racer not automatically. Reported speed 20 and HP 200 help, but finish rate on thin keys still decides. The spawn may already be gone — see Ice Horse.

Should I replace the starter horse first or buy a gun?

Replace the horse if you already finish. If you cannot finish, a gun will not help. Use the shop planner and this list together.

Where is the full named roster?

On the horse catalog. This page only grades starter, shop variants, Ice Horse, Gray Stud, Flipped Horse, and the launch white horse.

Does Flipped Horse outrank shop horses?

For screenshots, yes. For coin runs, no. Swap back to a controllable shop variant after you claim the Flipped Horse badge.
